I realized I haven’t shared in a while and I have been living with some pretty cool products that I got in some worthwhile subscription boxes lately.
So I wanted to share my Sephora Play Box from July.
Now if you don’t already know, Sephora does have a subscription box. It’ll run you a wooping $10 per month that you subscribe, and honestly I think it is one of the better boxes even thought you do get deluxe samples.
The Sephora Play Box only provides name brand deluxe sized samples, but you can definitely expect some of the best products out on the market. As well as the fact that with each box you receive the opportunity to get in store expert advise and 50 points to your Beauty insider account with any in store purchase.
Now, I have been subscribed to this box for a few months now and I can’t believe I haven’t shared it earlier. I may have to do a round up of the past boxes.
Here is what I got in my most recent box:
Now let’s be honest, who actually wants a fragrance sample in a box they pay for? Not me. But Sephora hit this one in the head and I’m loving this summery, citrus scent.
Lemon Blossom, Lotus Flower, Freesia, Dew Drop Accord, Precious Woods.
Bright. Refreshing. Sparkling.”
“The dewy softness of lotus flower and freesia are set against sparkling citrus notes and hints of precious woods.”
This here is a super sensitive face wash, not abrasive at all, but still leaves you feeling clean. it works wonders after something like a face scrub or an oil cleanse, well at least that’s how I’ve been using it.
This spray didn’t do anything for my hair, mainly because I have a thicker more course hair texture, but I did try and it didn’t work. I passed it on.
Clearly, Smashbox’s reputation precedes them, and they definitely live up to the hype. This primer smoothed the skin leaving it texture less and poreless. Definitely a must have/go to for any makeup lover.
I have actually heard mixed reviews about this flat, washable, and reusable facial blotting cushion. It helps to keep the shine away and keep a few extra Ducketts in your wallet. I don’t know if it’s a MUST HAVE, but it is quite nice to have.
Now I can see how this would be a beautiful bronzer, but it’s too light for my skin tone. I did try it as a highlight, but much to my shagrin, it just looked ashy. So for me this is a pass-er-on-er.
I really enjoy trying out new items, so like I said before, even thought this box does only offer deluxe size samples I will continue to get this one because it’s worth it to try the latest and greatest at a fraction of the cost of the full sizes.
I am definitely going to link any/all of these products so you can find them, as well as the Play direct link.
If you get the Sephora Play Box, and you have any suggestions or ideas on how I can better use some of these items, let me know down below.
Until next time my friends,
