Let’s Talk | Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream

Let’s Talk | Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream

Hey guys and gals.

This is going to be a quickie, but a goodie😉!

I was afforded the opportunity to try out the Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream. This is actually my second encounter with this product and brand.

A while back I signed up with Influenster to test products; it takes a lot for me to blog about any product because I feel as though it has to be an amazingly astounding product for me to share so much more about.

This is one of the amazingly astounding!!

From the box:

This cream is a richly-texturized moisturizing cream that strengthens and retains moisture all day. For this product Laneige claims it to be good for all skin types, as well as a great solution for dryness, uneven skintone, dullness and uneven texture.

Water Bank Moisture Cream is formulated with LANEIGE’s patented Hydro Ionized Mineral Water—fusing essential minerals zinc, potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, and sodium—to help replenish and retain ideal hydration levels, preventing future moisture loss. Olive squalane strengthens skin’s natural barrier, for intense nourishment, and the cream is richly texturized for instant absorption. It relieves dryness and leaves skin hydrated and glowing.

Formulated WITHOUT parabens and phthalates.

With over 20 years of research, LANEIGE’s Water Science™ has developed optimum water to address each skin concern. Hydro Ionized Mineral Water offers quicker and deeper absorption for better overall moisturization.

From my skin:

Like I said earlier, I had previously tried this Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream. I loved it then, and I love it even more now!

Now that I have been using it more consistently, I’m addicted.

I cannot get enough.

A part of what I do when trying products, no matter how much I love it, I stop using the product to see how my skin reacts when I go back to something that I was previously using. Although I do prefer to use this Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream, my skin didn’t freak out.

I did notice a difference in moisturization, but I think that was because this Moisture Cream sinks so much quicker then some of the other products that I have been using, that does make a difference.

Just applying this Moisture Cream soothes my skin. It is literally the cream equivalent of water. Its always cooling on my skin, as well as calming.

That said, Laneige is a beautiful brand that I am enjoying having as part of my daily routine (again). You can find Laneige products on their website, or at your local Sephora Store.

Laneige is absolutely one of those must try brands. If you have recently tried this or any of their products, let me know how it went. I plan to dabble more, so let me know what you’ve tried and how you feel about it?
Talk soon.
Cheers To My Next Year!

Cheers To My Next Year!

The day I turned 25 I promised myself I would never get any older. I lied. Of course I could lie and say I am still 25, but if I am only ever one age, how can I grow? Metaphorically of course. I think birthdays […]

Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum | Review

Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum | Review

Love Muffins,

I have been trying another Valentia Product. I know I have definitely been trying a ton of their products lately, but they are so quality I just can’t pass up the opportunity.

This time I’m trying out the New Night Revive Retinol Serum.

Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum is a transformative retinol serum that fights wrinkles and provides hydration, for visibly smoother, rejuvenated skin.

This Retinol Serum claims to diminishes wrinkles, stimulate collagen, improve skin tone, manage breakouts, and conditions skin.

Valentia Review

Some of the Key Ingredients are:

  • Retinol (Vitamin A): Works at the cellular level to stop winkles, manage breakouts, and evens out skin discoloration.
  • Vitamin C: Guards skin against environmental free-radicals to prevent premature aging.

  • Vitamin E: Provides intense hydration to diminish the drying effects of retinol.

  • Squalane: Derived for pure olive oil to soften and condition delicate skin.

Specially selected ingredients work together to achieve optimum results.

My Review:

Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum is a serum that is meant to be used at night. The directions state to apply to cleansed face and décolleté before moisturizer, as well as to use an SPF moisturizer during the day time.

This product promises to “fight wrinkles and provide hydration for visibly smoother, rejuvenated skin.”

I don’t really have wrinkles, but but when i smile the bridge of my nose crinkles. Now, I know its not that big of a deal but if theres something i can do now that will prevent me from having a wrinkly nose in the future, and its not too out of the way, then why not.

I have also noticed that this serum really does provide an insane amount of hydration. I have used this serum by itself a couple times and I’ve woken up to baby soft, super moisturized skin. It was actually crazy because I didn’t expect it the first time, so of course I had to try it again.

As for the claim to smooth and rejuvenate skin, I find that a true claim. I have been looking back at pictures of myself when i was younger, and my skin was so super flawless. I am noticing that with the increased attention that i have been giving to my skin, it is slowly but surely getting back there. Definitely I’ve noticed since I started using this Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum my skin is staying clearer, and looking younger.

As always, you can find Valentia for purchase on their website or Amazon, or on their socials, Facebook or Instagram.

Until next time, my muffins.

You can keep up with my day to day on my socials, I’ll have them linked below.

Valentia Review

Learn About the Brand

The Roman Goddess of healing, Valentia, relied on nature’s gifts to heal the citizens of Umbria. Whether matriarchs seeking to maintain their youthful look or farmers seeking help for sun damaged skin. Valentia used berries, herbs, barks and other natural ingredients. We also rely on all natural ingredients due to their protective, preventative and corrective powers.
Just like our namesake, Valentia Skin Care products have been formulated with natural and organic cosmetic ingredients that will repair and protect the skin.
After performing extensive research into what skin care customers find most important, we found an overwhelming demand for skin care that is natural, free of toxins and paraben-free.

Natural ingredients with an organic base have proven most effective at repairing skin damaged by sun or wind, preventing signs of aging such as wrinkles, dark spots, and reversing the effects of oxidative stress on the skin.

ARK Skincare Review

ARK Skincare Review

Hey all.

If you haven’t noticed I have been heavy into skin care this year, and as time goes I am lucky enough to be able to try out new products from new (to me) brands.

The latest on the list is ARK Skincare.

ARK Skincare is a British skincare brand, which treats skin by age and skin concern using active natural ingredients. The result is a highly effective, personalised skin treatment regime for every individual.”

I was allotted the opportunity, via ARK Skincare & BrandBacker, to try out two of their products, and since I’m a twenty-something, I went with my appropriate age range of products.

ARK Skincare sent me their Pro Remove Pre Cleanse daily cleanser as well as their Age Protect Skin Vitality Moisturizer.

The Pro Remove Pro Cleanse is part of the SkinEssentials range. It is formulated for all ages, and works well on any age skin. As well as compliments your age specific formula.

The Age Protect Skin Vitality Moisturizer is formulated for teens and 20’s, and is aimed at preparing skin for the aging process by maximizing the quality of the skin and protecting against daily pollutants.

ARK Skincare Review

ARK Pro Remove Pre Cleanse

“This innovative product is the first step in our powerful cleansing routine. The multi-fruit lipid blend dissolves every last trace of daily grime, excess sebum and make-up – even waterproof mascara – while nourishing and soothing skin with a blend of natural ingredients.
Grape seed, Avocado and Kiwi Oil deeply nourish skin and protect against dryness. Margosa Leaf Extract is a herbal anti-acne ingredient. Zi Cao is an Ayurvedic herb, which soothes sensitive skin.”

“How to use:

Apply onto dry skin before cleansing with dry hands. Massage in gently all over face before adding water to form a thin liquid emulsion. Continue massaging then rinse off with warm water. Follow with your Age Aware Cleanser.”

ARK Skincare Review

ARK Age Protect Skin Vitality Moisturizer

“The best moisturizer for your teens and 20s. Our vitality moisturizer offers the perfect balance of hydration for younger skin. Rich in antioxidants and an active anti-pollution system, it provides daily protection from the urban environment. Leaves your skin, clear, radiant and vibrant.
Avocado and Peach Lipids are rich in Vitamins A,C,D and E as well as Omega 9 fatty acids which keep skin hydrated and soft. Olive Oil penetrates deep down into skin to effectively hydrate skin cells. Panthenol is a form of Vitamin B which soothes irritated skin.”

“How to use:

Use morning and evening. Apply a thin layer to face and neck. Use as part of your skincare regime with ARK Hydrating Toner and Skin Clear Cleanser.”

My review:

Just to be completely transparent, and I don’t know if I’ve told y’all this before, but when I’m trying new products, I Try to get as much face time with them as I can. I try to get a full three weeks in with any product before I give my review. This time around I had a set back because my skin decided to break out.
I know for a fact it wasn’t these new products. It was allergy related, but for that reason I only got two-ish weeks consistently using them.

I decided to stop using the Pro Remove Pre Cleanse, because it’s very similar to a cleansing oil, and I didn’t want to add anything to my skin that might cause any more issues. I did keep using the Age Protect Skin Vitality Moisturizer, and it worked beautifully.

Now, the Pro Remove Pre Cleanse was definitely an experience. It is an oil type of cleanse that you kind or pre scrub your face with, before you actually wash your face. Whenever I used it I notice, afterwards my skin is smoother, kind of like i had used a scrub. It is a very nice feeling. Especially knowing that the product I’m using has no harmful chemicals in it.

As for the Age Protect Skin Vitality Moisturizer, like I said, I did continue using it while my skin was breaking out, and it’s a great moisturizer. This moisturizer is thick and a little goes a long way. It absorbs very well, it doesn’t feel like its just sitting on top of my skin, and I notice my skin looks happier.
Using this system has brought out a glow in my skin that was a bit muted. I have noticed a tremendous difference in my skin, and even after this break out I’m noticing my skin getting back to normal a bit quicker.

I really enjoyed trying this product it’s considerably different than any thing I’ve used before. From the oil pre cleanse to the day/night cream duo.

ARK is a great company with a lovely message:

“Protect. Defy. Defend. Unlock your best skin yet.”

I suggest if you have any age related skin concerns, and even if you don’t, it couldn’t hurt to check them out. ARK provides age targeted ranges for Teens & 20’s, 30′ & 40’s, as well as 50’s & Onwards, so there is a specified range for every skin age.

ARK’s lines don’t just cover skin care, they also cover body care as well as a range of home fragrances.

If you do decide to try anything out from ARK, let me know what you decided on and how it worked for you below.

Till the next one,

Where Do You Want To Be?

Where Do You Want To Be?

I was a laying in bed, waiting for sleep, and checking my Instagram one last time before I put my phone down and picked up some zzz’s. The last time I refreshed a picture of my friend came up and she was in front of the Eiffel Tower.
